紙漉キハタノは 京都府綾部市にある手漉き和紙工房。 原材料である楮の栽培から加工、紙漉き、プロダクト制作、空間施工に至るまで、 すべての工程を一貫して手がけ、約800年続いてきた黒谷和紙とその文化を、 未来へ繋いでいくためのものづくりを行なっています。
Kamisuki (paper making) Hatano, is a paper making studio in Ayabe,Kyoto Prefecture. We specialise beyond paper making from growing paper mulberry (a raw material for washi) to making products, furniture and interiors, embracing its washi culture into the future.

染め紙、貼り箱、敷板、座卓など、和紙を着色して制作しているプロダクト作品。 和紙の風合いを残しつつも色鮮やかなものであったり、かすれた質感のものであったり、 和紙の魅力を生活の中で楽しめる様にと制作しております。
interior / furniture
かつて暮らしの中で使われていた和紙を、ふたたび生活の中へ。 住空間だけではなく、飲食店やホテル、ギャラリーなどで和紙の特徴を活かした設計や施工を行なっています。 それぞれの場所ひとつひとつの空間に合わせてオリジナルの和紙を作り施工をしする事により、 そこにしかない空間が生まれます。
We believe washi gives a subtle presence to the space as a material that allows an object or a person to be the protagonist. Every set of washi is made specific to each space including residential, restaurants, hotels and galleries. We work around 50 different spaces per year, and we hope to continue sharing the durability and flexibility of washi.

ホテルや商業施設などの大きな壁面全体をキャンバスとして用い、 和紙、土、顔料などの素材を織り交ぜたアート作品。 建物が建てられた場所が持つ文脈、施設の存在価値や意味、ご依頼いただいた方の想いを聞きながら、 空間に合わせた表現を行います。
(sample)Our range of products including dyed paper, paper boxes, trays and low tables are aimed to introduce the essence of washi into our contemporary life. From vibrant to simple colours and textured to smooth finishes, each product is handmade in our studio.
私たちの仕事は「土」から始まります。約5,000平米の畑で楮を栽培し、
かつて暮らしの中にあった和紙とその文化を未来に残していきたいと考えています。
新しい試みを進める和紙の産地が増える中、私たちの和紙づくりは極めてシンプルに。
主原料は自分たちで栽培する楮（こうぞ）で、紙漉きに使用するのは古くから継承される２つの道具のみ。
昔からあるものを大切に守っていけば、未来もあり続ける。
大量生産・大量消費社会の中で、人の暮らしはどうあるべきなのか。
そんな答えのない問いに対峙しながら、日々ものづくりを続けています。
